Autumn 2005 Newsletter

Fundraiser: Many thanks to all those who supported our recent fundraising night in Finngallians GAA club. Approximately 100 people attended and had a very enjoyable evening. Around €2000 profit was made from the event which should help club funds.

Prize-giving Night: Now that the season has come to an end yet again there will be a prize giving night on Friday 21st October in the Carnegie Court Hotel at 8 p.m. sharp. Light refreshments will be supplied.

Week-End Away: The weekend away will take place on November 5th costing €60 for bed, breakfast, and evening meal. The venue chosen for this year is the Bellingham Castle Hotel in Castlebellingham, Co. Louth. This location is just a short trip of about 40 miles. Those wishing to cycle there may have to add on some extra miles while a 50/60 mile route for those wishing to cycle around the area will be organised. A cheque for the full amount made payable to the Bellingham Castle Hotel will be accepted. All cheques should be forwarded to Martin Joyce, 14 Seabury View, Malahide, Co. Club AGM: The club AGM will take place on Monday 28th November at 8.30 p.m. in Finngallians GAA Club. All members are urged to attend.

League Results: In the nine years of the league, from 1997 to this year, the following list is of those who top the table of participants in the Swords League. The number is the total number of races entered over the nine year period. As you can see John Ward is well out in front.
